About Verdura:
Born into Sicilian aristocracy in 1898, Duke Fulco di Verdura began his extraordinary career in 1920s Paris working with Coco Chanel. He followed his passion for design to America in 1934, designing colorful jewels in Hollywood for screen stars such as Greta Garbo and Marlene Dietrich. In 1939 he opened on Fifth Avenue in New York and established himself as a boldly innovative designer, admired to this day by the Who’s Who of Hollywood, high society and style-makers world-wide.
