Clary Sage, considered a sacred herb was prized for its invigorating and energizing properties. Emperor Nero had drops of the herb scattered over his troops before they rode into battle, bearing the standard of the Roman Eagle.

These traditional perfumes have been created as a tribute to the year that Queen Victoria granted the image of her crown to the perfumery in 1872.
