About Ralph Rucci:
For nearly three decades, designer and two-time CFDA nominee Ralph Rucci has been creating sculptural, studiously made and complexly simple apparel popular with high society. Himself an accomplished painter, Rucci culls from influences as varied as modern art and Japanese tradition. In fact, his Chado label is named after the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. This reverence of ritual, restraint, and refinement is evident in his clothing's meticulous construction and use of voluptuous material, taken to transformative levels by his couture point of view.
